The open volunteer postings below will give you a clearer sense of what we are looking for. Social Media Coordinator
Estimated Time Commitment: up to 5 hours/week June-August
Reports to: Marketing and Promotions Committee
This Social Media Coordinator volunteer position entails generating, posting, and managing pre-completed content on the INW website and developing new content on INW’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). Beyond content, this role will help with virtual community outreach and development, attracting new participants to INW through social media channels. In addition, the Social Media Coordinator may work with the Board to maintain and update our website
Prior experience cultivating and sustaining website and social media traffic
Comfort with using social media platforms to build community and share content
Familiarity with IDEAS-related issues
Events and Logistics Coordinator
Estimated Time Commitment: up to 5 hours/week June/July, up to 10 hours/week in August
Reports to: Summit Logistics and Project Management Committee
The Event & Logistics Coordinator is a volunteer position at the center of the INW conference team. Working with the logistical committee members, the Coordinator will assist with planning, coordinating, and executing the planned events during the conference. Responsibilities may include: collaborating with various conference stakeholders (the space, participants, speakers, vendors, etc.); supporting registration and tactical needs to execute a successful event; and Summit follow-up (surveys, data collection).
Prior event planning/logistics experience (in either personal or professional capacities)
Ability to effectively liaise with different stakeholders (INW Board, summit location staff, Summit participants, vendors, etc.)
There are many ways to get involved to help the INW community make this Summit a success, including, but not limited to:
Promoting the Summit: Help us get the word out!
Facilitating a break-out session or Summit conversation
Capturing notes during the Summit for post-conference initiatives
Participating in post-conference initiatives, including the development of a shared IDEAS Charter or Agenda and other related activities
